Bergon Nichols, age 81 of Marion Junction, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2008 in Bessemer, AL.
Graveside services were held on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at 2 p.m. in Plantersville Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. David Nichols officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Nichols devoted 30 years of his career to working in the Transmission Division for the GM company before moving back to Alabama later on in life.
Mr. Nichols was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Idella Mae Nichols, his wife, Tona Roberts Nichols, a daughter, Kathryn Nichols McGraw, a brother, Buddy Nichols, and a sister, Della Mae Nichols.
Mr. Nichols is survived by a daughter, Pamela Nichols (Kelby) Crum, a son, Michael Nichols, and a sister, Loree Hood. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Angela (Troy) Kajfasz, Nina (Cary) Kvitka, Kelby M. Crum II, Angela (Robert) Cales, Sabrina Crum, and his great-grandchildren, Parker Kajfasz, Holden Kajfasz, Rhianna Cales, DJ Cales, Kevin Cales, and to be born girl Baby Kvitka.
