It’s not over. The best is yet to come.

Those are the words straight from the mouth of Udo F. Ufomadu. He is holding a book signing for his fifth publication at 1 p.m. today at Tabernacle of Praise Church, 850 Woodrow Avenue.

His newest work is “5 Essential Habits: An Excellent Tool for Self Betterment and World Improvement.”

Ufomadu draws inspiration from people famous and not-so-famous to get across the point that all things are possible through faith and effective life planning.

“This is about everybody, not just a select few,” he said. “I try to encourage people that have not. What I try to establish is the fact that we’re supposed to share in life, whether it’s information or what God has blessed you with. I try to establish the importance of networking. A lot of people will not tell you, but it has made them the people they are.

“Whether it’s a business you’re trying to get into or something else, without information, you can go nowhere.”

Sharing goes far beyond financial matters. It also involves unselfishly giving time to others. Ufomadu also professes respect and love for others, planning, making the right choices and faith in God.

The Nigerian native holds a doctorate in business administration and serves on the Selma City School board. He says that task is enough to give him a respect for the job teachers do.

Ufomadu is also the author of “Anthology of Inspiration: Poem the Best Out of You”; “Quote the Best Out of You”; “How to Become Extremely Successful in Business Management, Personal Management and Family Budget Planning”; and “Secrets of elevation Hidden in Stirring Poems.”

He has held signings of all of his book at Tabernacle of Praise, of which he is a member.

Ufomadu passes along his word in hopes that personal growth will lead to community growth.

“I try to stress the importance of education and how an individual and community can elevate themselves.”
