Lucille Brock Smith 76, of Selma, went home to be with the Lord on Monday Aug. 4, 2008 in Atlanta, GA. Funeral services are scheduled for 2pm on Saturday August 9, 2008 at Northern Heights Presby. Church with Rev. B. L. Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in Fairlawn Memory Garden with J. H. Williams &Sons Funeral Home directing.
She was born Nov. 27, 1931, daughter of the late Charlie Y. Brock, Sr. and Etta Brock. She was preceded in death by her three brothers, William, Charlie, Jr., and W.J. She is survived by two sisters, Mary Williamson (Frank) of Los Angeles, CA. and Bernice Walker of Jamaica, NY; six children, Eugene Smith, Jr. of Selma, Wesley Smith of East St. Louis, IL, Sandra Smith of Marion, Gregory Davis of Atlanta, GA, Adra Walton of Hampton, GA, and Angela Rogers (Tony) of Stockbridge, GA. Survivors also include 10 grandchil-dren, four of which she was instru-mental in rearing, Schavia Hatcher (Allan) of Lawrenceville, GA, Sharada Smith of Selma, De-siree’ Rogers and Tony Rogers, II of Stockbridge, GA, five great grand-children and a host of nieces, neph-ews and other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Flower bearers will be the Knox Academy Class of 1949 (The 49ers).
The family will receive friends at J. H. Williams &Sons Funeral Home on Fri., August 8, 2008 from 6:00 until 7:00 pm.
