A Dallas County District Court judge has set bond at $250,000 for two Selma teenagers and ordered detention for a third accused of attempted murder of a restaurant worker.

Judge Bob Armstrong set the bonds of Carlton Reynolds, 16, and Jamarrious Sallie, 16, during a hearing held Tuesday. The two are in Dallas County Jail.

A third teenager, 15, was sent to juvenile detention.

“We filed a certification peition on the 15-year-old to get him possibly transferred to adult court after a certification hearing,” said District Attorney Michael Jackson.

The trio were arrested for the July 15 beating of J.P. Lee, 60. The teenagers were charged initially with assault, but the district attorney’s office upgraded the charges before the court hearing.

The three are accused of beating up Lee at Taylor’s Restaurant on Cecil Jackson Bypass. Police said three males attacked Lee in the screened back area of the restaurant.

A family member said Lee suffered broken ribs and a head injury.
