Ms. Willie Holmes, 83, of Selma, AL died Thursday, July 24, 2008 at Warren Manor Nursing Home.
Services are scheduled for 12 noon, Friday, August 1 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. George Shelton. Burial will follow in Figtree Church Cemetery under the direction of Miller Funeral Service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, three sons; Arthur Acoff, Joe Acoff, and Johnny Acoff; and four daughters, Janie Vaughn, Mary Ann Holmes, Barbara Acoff, and Betty Acoff.
Survivors include six sons, Lawrence (Louise) Holmes, Willie Holmes, Eddie Holmes and Alexander Acoff of Ft. Wayne, IN; Herbert Acoff and Calvin Holmes of Selma, AL.; four daughters, Dorothy Crowell, Crystean (James) Howard, Inez (Melvin) Gordon, and Juanita (Ray) Martin; brother, Joe Lee Acoff of Detroit, MI; sister Annie B. Acoff of Selma, AL.; forty-six grandchildren; forty-six great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; three sons-in-law; one daughter-in-law; and a host of nieces and nephews.
