The aftermath of an earlier incident reignited Wednesday evening on the corner of Plant and Medley streets.

Yelling and screaming sparked tension and resulted in the arrest of one unidentified man for disorderly conduct.

According to Selma police, an unidentified man pulled a gun on another unidentified man Wednesday afternoon. The person he pulled the gun on struck him with a baseball bat repeatedly, inflicting enough harm to necessitate his airlifting to Mobile for medical reasons.

A cadre of Selma police responded to the call, which drew a crowd.
