Harold Williams

Harold R. “Spike” Williams, age 73, a resident of Selma, AL, passed away July 26, 2008 at his residence after a lengthy battle with cancer.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey D. Williams.
Surviving are his wife, Gayle P. Williams; daughters, Tammy Renee Williams, Melissa Rae (Tim) Hubbard and Parrish Raye Williams; sister, Dorothy Gregory; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in Pineview Memory Gardens with Selma Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Skeeter Hobbie, Buddy Williams, Buddy Hardin, Bill Jones, Phil Parrish and Ed Parrish.
Honorary pallbearers will be George Nassaney, Roger Thacker and the employees of the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Montgomery, AL.
Mr. Williams was a member of the local Moose Lodge. He was well known through out the area due to his association with the Coca-Cola Bottling Company from which he retired in 1997 following 34 years of dedicated service.
The family would like to thank the employees of the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Atlanta, GA and the employees of Cahaba Hospice.
