Aubrey Vick has announced his candidacy for the Ward 3 Selma City Council position.

Vick, 70, is a native of Tuscaloosa, but he and his family have lived in Ward 3 for 29 years.

“The last 2 1/2 years I have attended workshops and city council meetings,” Vick said, “and after much prayer, consideration and friends’ encouragement, I humbly seek the prayers, support and vote of the people of Ward 3.”

Vick serves on the Selma Water and Sewer Board as a director.

He is a retired production manager.

Vick and his family attend Westwood Church of God, where he served as past president of the men’s ministry.
