James Thurman “J.T.” Free, age 80, of Valley Grande died Monday July 7, 2008 at home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday July 9, 2008 at the chapel of
Lawrence Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Charles Sullivan. Burial will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens.
Mr. Free is survived by his wife, Agnes Free of Valley Grande, son, James (Kim) Free of
Pensacola, FL, daughters, Kay (Ray) Thomley of Selma, Barbara (T.J.) Etheridge of Valley Grande, grandchildren Kerry (Allen) Henderson of Selma, Rhonda (Sam)
Brown of Selma, Melissa (William) Tate of Selma, Faith Golden of Pensacola, Fl, and Brandon Golden of Pensacola, FL, great-grandchildren, Jackson, Gunnar, and Cade
Henderson, Brayton and Bailey Brown, Nathan, Shannon, and Gatlin Tate, brothers, Herman (Ruth) Free of Prattville, Leonard (Ann) Free of Selma, sisters, Mae Stokes of Selma, Opal (Bobby) Missildine of Millbrook, Ann (Orrville) Hudson of Texarkana, AR.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Verman Free of Greenville.
The family wants to express very special thanks to Dr. Jacob Wood, Barbara Ash, Brenda Bossie, Mildred Calhoun, Ann Curtis, Jo Gibson, Ernestine Glover, Frances Jones, Charlotte Spicer and Frieda Philips.
Serving as pallbearers will be David Etheridge, Philip Free, Richard Free, Tommy Missildine, John Murphy, and Terry Waters.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home before the service.
