A 9-1 win over Prattville alleviated those fears.

Crawford Traylor&8217;s RBI double scored Devonte Cleveland and put Selma on the board in the top of the third inning. He would later score on a passed ball to extend Selma&8217;s lead to 2-0.

Selma&8217;s rust completely dissipated in the fourth inning as the team scored four runs to increase its lead to 6-0.

Ethan Fancher led off with a single. His pinch runner, Quintravius Johnson, scored on an Eddie Thigpen double. Thigpen later scored on a passed ball.

Prattville pitcher, A.J. Reynolds, hit Justin Seele and walked Cleveland. A walk to Traylor loaded the bases.

A Dylan Lawrence walk scored Seele, and a passed ball got Cleveland home.

Selma suffered its lone blemish in the bottom of the fourth when Selma pitcher, Cory Hayes, hit Reynolds. He would later score on a Casey McCluskie single to cut Selma&8217;s lead to 6-1.

Selma quickly retrieved the run in the top of the fifth. Thigpen was hit by a pitch and scored on a passed ball.

Selma put the game away with a two-run Fancher home run in the top of the sixth.

Cory Hayes pitched six complete innings, striking out seven, to take the win. Reynolds took the loss for Prattville.
