Edward &8220;Eddie&8221; Moon

Edward &8220;Eddie&8221; Moon, 78, of Selma went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 4, 2008.

Mr. Moon is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Katherine B. Moon; two sons, Edward Moon, Jr. (Tina) of Lowndesboro, AL; Kenneth L. Moon (Tamara) of Vacaville, CA; one daughter, Linda M. Allbrook of Atlanta, GA.

Eddie was blessed with eight grandchildren, Taylor Moon of Montgomery, Michael Moon, Dustin Moon, and Tyler Moon all of Vacaville, CA, Markie Moon Geon and Tori Norman both of Prattville, AL, and Edward Moon, III of Watertown, NY; three great grandchildren, Tucker Geon of Prattville, AL, Mackenzie Moon and Austin Moon both of Watertown, NY, and one more on the way. He also is survived by a brother, Bobby Moon and a sister, Ruby Moon both of Huntsville, AL.

Mr. Moon was a loving husband, very dedicated father, and a great friend who loved spending time with his family. He proudly served his country in both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Master Sergeant with 24 years of service. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #167 and a former member of the Selma VFW. Eddie was a faithful Christian and member of the Westwood Baptist Church.

The family will receive visitors on Sunday, July 6, 2008, from 6-8 p.m. at the Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home.

A celebration of Eddie&8217;s Life will be held Monday, July 7, 2008, at 11:30 a.m. at the Westwood Baptist Church with Dr. Ed Eaton officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

Tommie Luther Moseley, Sr.

Tommie Luther Moseley, Sr., 94, of Selma died July 4, 2008 at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Ardis Ruth Stratman Moseley of Selma; sons, Tommie L. Moseley, Jr. of Selma and Mickey E. Moseley of Anniston; grandchildren, Richard M. Moseley, Chad D. Moseley, Claire E. Johnson, and Lauren Bohorfoush; 6 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; sister, Bertha Moseley of Selma; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will held on Monday, July 7, 2008 at 10:00 AM in New Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. James A. Duke, Jr. officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Cahaba Hospice, 410 Church St., Selma, AL 36701.
