E.C. Clark

E.C. Clark, age 71 of Selma, died Wednesday July 2, 2008.

Mr. Clark is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jeanne Clark, sons, Mike (Denice) Clark, Ken (Debbie) Clark both of Selma, daughter-in-law, Vicki Clark Anz, of Stanton, grandchildren, Cayla Clark of Auburn, Kimberly (Chad) Shaner of Jemison, Michael Clark, April Clark, Jordyn Clark all of Selma, and Austin Anz of Stanton, and one great grandchild Maggie Lynn Shaner of Jemison.

Mr. Clark was preceded in death by parents Cleo and Irma Jane Clark of Selma, brother Paul Clark of Selma and son Chuck Clark of Stanton.

Services will be held Saturday July 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Reverend Deborah Born officiating and burial following at Pineview Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be at the chapel from 10 AM to 11 AM on Saturday, July 5, 2008.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Parr, Eric Parr, Dean Swindle,Toby Swindle, Tommy Love, and Tyler Love.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Barrett Road United Methodist Church.

Linda Caffey Safford

Linda Caffey Safford, 48, of Selma, died Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at a Local nursing home.

Services are scheduled for 1p.m. Saturday, July 5, 2008, at The Rose of Sharon with the Rev. Thomas Patterson officiating.

Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Brothers Funeral Home, Inc.

Ms. Delia Mitchell

Ms. Delia Mitchell, 81, of Selma died Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at Vaughan Regional Hospital.

Services are scheduled for 1 p.m., Saturday, July 5 at Shiloh P.B. Church, Bogue Chito with the Rev. Leroy Oliver officiating.

Burial will follow at Church Cemetery under the direction of Miller Funeral Services.

Survivors include; two sisters, Florence Cole, Virginia Beach, Va., and Adeline Smith-Boss, Massachusetts. One grandchild; one son-in-law; a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be her nephews.

Ms. Elizabeth Nelson

Ms. Elizabeth Nelson, 98, of Selma, died Thursday, June 26, 2008 at Vaughan Regional Hospital.

Services are scheduled for 1p.m., Saturday, July 5, at New Liberty Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Blake.

Burial will follow at New Liberty Church Cemetery under the direction of Miller Funeral Services.

Survivors include relatives, friends and care givers.

Lola Evans

Lola Evans, 103, of Selma, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at a Local hospital.

Services will be announced at a later date by Lewis Brothers Funeral Home, Inc.
