Repairman expects more patrons

He might not have to wait long.

In Selma, gas prices hovered close to $3.90 a gallon, according to Alabama Gas Prices The Conoco at 1900 W. Dallas Ave. posted unleaded regular gas at $3.86 a gallon Monday morning. The Citgo on West Dallas Avenue was $3.89.

In Selma a year ago, gas prices were right at $3 a gallon, according to the Web site.

On the other hand, AAA reported regular unleaded gas at Southern Pantry 8 on U.S. Highway 80 East at $3.859 at 5:21 p.m. Tuesday.

AAA reported at least four stations had $3.999 per gallon for regular unleaded Tuesday. Those stations: Junction B, 1830 Alabama Highway 14 East; Chevron No. 20903, 2615 Citizens Parkway; Mr. Roy&8217;s/Truck Stop, 2217 Highway 80 Bypass and BP Oil 44911Q09, 2681 Alabama Highway 22 West.

Gas prices about 50 miles to the east, ranged from a high of $3.75 at the Citgo on I-65 at Prattville on Tuesday to $3.69 at Sam&8217;s Club on 1080 Eastern Blvd. in Montgomery, according to Alabama Gas Prices.

The Associated Press reported Tuesday that oil prices fell below $129 a barrel.
