Hillary Clinton&8217;s recent slip of the tongue has caused some consternation in political circles.

She made a reference to the Democratic race for presidential nominee as yet undecided and linked the assassination of Robert Kennedy in there. Here&8217;s what she said, &8220;&8221;My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary somewhere in the middle of June, right? We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California. You know I just, I don&8217;t understand it.&8221;

All politics are local. A good many people here in Selma supported Kennedy. A good many voted for Barack Obama and Clinton on Super Tuesday.

This is a good object lesson for all of us.

During election year, candidates use hyperbole sometimes to get their points across. They also use what we call, &8220;the street committee&8221; to get other people stirred up.

It&8217;s up to us the voters to decide the truth and whom we&8217;re supporting.
