A great kid.

He always wanted to make people laugh.

It sounds like the ideal student and friend, the person someone would least expect and least want to leave tragically.

Friends and family of Dallas County senior Zach Cozadd lost someone they loved Wednesday afternoon.

Cozadd died after the Chevrolet Silverado he drove collided head-on with a Dallas County school bus.

The end not only came too soon, but at one of the most devastating of times.

Cozadd was to have walked with his classmates Friday night as part of the 100th graduating class in Dallas County High School history.

He was a clarinet player and section leader with the Hornets&8217; marching band. He was someone

McDaniel called a great kid to have around.

A tearful Kelly Posey, 16, took a break from her job at the Graystone Restaurant on Wednesday night and remembered her friend, who classmates dubbed &8220;Porky.&8221;

She talked about how short a time he lived, how she would miss him and about his curly hair.

She wiped tears from her mascara-streaked eyes and paused. For just a few short moments, laughter interrupted the solemnity.

McDaniel said he had students call him to ask if he had heard what happened.

The shock of a normal day that turned bleak still hung over him.
