WELTI, Ala. (AP) &045; A Cullman County woman was killed when a pickup truck crashed through her fence and hit her while she was sitting on her front porch.

Cullman County Coroner Gary Murphree said 52-year-old Doris Cronk of Welti was killed on impact and pronounced dead at the scene at 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

Murphree said the 2000 Chevrolet pickup knocked a hole in bedroom wall and Cronk was sitting against the wall on the outside.

The truck’s driver, 32-year-old Olegario Moctezuma of Cullman, wasn’t injured.

Cullman County Sheriff Tyler Roden said deputies checked Moctezuma’s blood alcohol content and arrested him for driving under the influence.

Alabama State Troopers charged him with manslaughter Monday. Moctezuma is currently being held at the county jail without bond.

Roden didn’t believe Moctezuma had a lawyer Tuesday morning.
