Some residents from Riverview are preparing for war &8212; a tug of war.

The game will be part of the Neighborhood Association&8217;s first annual Riverside Arts and Crafts Fair. The event will be held from 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at Riverside Park.

Gail Coulson, Riverview Neighborhood Association vice president, said the event is meant to bring the community together and anticipates it will grow in the years ahead.

There will be more then 30 artists and craftspersons at the fair, including potters, basket weavers, jewelry makers and oil painters.

Ages range from 9 and up.

The association hopes to draw artists from Orrville, Selmont and surrounding areas.

Artwork featuring Selma fourth-graders&8217; renditions of homes in the Riverview district, as well as their dreams of what Riverview can look like, will be on display at the children&8217;s art fair on the grounds.

In addition to vendors, local musicians will sing and play instruments.

There will be gospel groups, youth mime performers and local artist and performer Nancy Ziccardi is scheduled to perform a variety of pieces.

There will also be food, old-fashioned games such as hopscotch, pony rides and a moonwalk.

T-shirts featuring art by Charlie Lucas will be on sale for $12.
