hold their 12th observance of Jesus Day at the intersection of Lauderdale Street and Dallas Avenue.

Steering committee member Alice Hinson said the musical performers will come from area churches and organizations that include Westwood Baptist, West Village of the Nazarene, the Freedom Foundation, and the Selma Community Chorus.

Individual performers include Tina Price, Jim Vansant and Kandice Clark.

The event is open to everyone. Chairs will be provided, but people will be welcome to bring their own chairs. There will be free hamburgers, hot dogs, fish and desserts, and the dress is casual. A stage will be set up under the traffic light, and a viewing area will be in the street.

For children, there will be a mime, a Noah&8217;s Ark moonwalk, basketball, animal balloons, snow cones and a Pepsi wagon.
