Scott receives Mercy Award

Gracie Scott recently received the 2008 Mercy Award given by Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

The award recognizes one employee each year, who represents the humanitarian spirit on which Vaughan Regional Medical Center was founded.

Scott has worked at the medical center for 22 years. She is supervisor in the medical records department.

&8220;She is a pleasure to work with, and she is genuinely compassionate about her role with us at Vaughan.

Her position in medical records requires extreme attention to detail, and Gracie is meticulous in her duties as she cares for our customers.

Her activities outside of the hospital, such as her years of coaching softball demonstrates her love for people and the community,&8221; he added.

The award qualifies Scott for LifePoint&8217;s 2008 Mercy Award, the highest honor an employee can receive. The national winner will be honored in June at a ceremony during LifePoint&8217;s senior leadership retreat in Chicago.
