Marquesha Hardy got the ball rolling for the Photography by David softball team, and that was that.

The team got ahead and never trailed on the way to a 6-3 win over Tabernacle Baptist Church in an 11-12 year-old slowpitch softball game Thursday at the Selma Softball Complex.

Hardy took a ball down into the left field corner and kept plugging around the bases for a two-run, inside-the-park home run.

Photography by David increased its lead to five runs in the second inning. Shaquira Livingston singled, and even though she lost her right shoe, ran all the way around the bases to score. Princ’Chasity Gunn drove in two more with a single.

Tabernacle finally got on the board in the top of the third inning when Hollis Ellis singled in two runs. Morgan Rich walked with the bases loaded, and the lead was cut to two.

Photography by David got one more back in the fourth when Jalysa Turner drove in a run.
