William Earl Andrews

William Earl Andrews, 54, of Plantersville, died at 2 a.m. Sunday April 13, 2008, at Shelby Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2008, at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, Maplesville, AL.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Agee Brother’s Funeral Home, Clanton, AL.

Survivors

are his wife, Betty Waters Andrews; three daughters, LaSonya

Childers, Precious Andrews Nix and Selena Andrews; three grandchildren, Darius Nix, Chaz Morris and Keyola Childers.

Alfred Grayson, Jr.

Alfred Grayson, Jr., 18, of Selma, AL died April 14, 2008 in Selma.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 20, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at New Liberty Church with Rev. Michael Gordan officiating.

Burial will follow in Pineview cemetery under the direction of Miller Funeral Service.

Survivors include parents Alfred and Denise Grayson, Sr.; one brother, Tra’Kobe R. Grayson; three sisters, La’Shanda M. Grayson, Demetria D. Grayson (Selma) and Rononica (Michael) Martin of California; and one God sister, Kim Shivers.

Other relatives include two brothers-in-law, two nieces, nine aunts, five uncles, 3 great aunts, several cousins and friends.

Pallbears will include cousins, friends, and former classmates.

Annie Mae Pettaway Gardner

Annie Mae Pettaway Gardner, 76, of Selma, AL died April 19, 2008 at Vaughan Regional.

Services are scheduled for April 19, 2008, at 12:00 p.m.. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church (Selfield) with Rev. George Shelton officiating.

Burial will follow in Fairlawn cemetery under the direction of Miller Funeral Service.

Survivors include five sons, Louis Gardner Jr., Jeffery (Jessie) Gardner, Gary Gardner of Selma, AL, Winfield Gardner of Kileen, Texas, and Michael (Wanda) Gardner of Bradenton, FL; four daughters, Geraldine (Willie) Dickerson, Regina (Willie) Burns of Autaugaville, AL, Karla Perkins,

Jennifer Quarles of Selma, AL; three brothers, Wilbert Pettaway, John Pettaway of Selma, AL, Freeman (Martha) Pettaway of Pensacola, FL; one sister, Harriet Moultrie of Mobile, AL; a special sister-in-law and friend Esther Pettaway; 20 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; three sons-in-law; two daughters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; nine sisters-in-law; a host of nieces and nephews; cousins and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Clemuel “Sonny” Willoughby Jr.

Clemuel “Sonny” Willoughby Jr., 66, of Selma, AL died Tues., April 15, 2008, at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, AL.

Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Sat. April 19, 2008, at Mt. Olive #2 Baptist Church in Sardis, AL with Rev.

Carlton Phillips officiating.

Burial will follow in Mt. Olive cemetery under the direction of Lewis Brothers Funeral Home.

Mr. Willoughby was employed with Goodwill Industries until illness.

He attended school in the Dallas County School system.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. Clemuel Sr. and Mrs. Mattie Willoughby, one brother, and two sisters.

Survivors include two brothers, Jesse (Dorothy) Willoughby of Birmingham, AL, and Lawrence (Sharon) Willoughby of Detroit, MI; three sisters, Almeda Cherry of Selma, AL, Carrie (Omega) Edwards, Velma (Cleveland) Thomas of Detroit, MI; a host of nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, great-great-nephews,

great-great-nieces, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be nephews and cousins.

Elizabeth Smith

Elizabeth Smith, 67, of Selma, AL died April 10, 2008.

Funeral services will be held Sat., April 19, 2008, at 1:00 p.m.. at St. Paul Community Methodist Church, Pastor Joseph Coleman Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow at Ellmwood Cemetery under the direction of Miller Funeral Service.

Survivors include one son, Lee Walker Jr. of Selma, AL; two daughters, Cynthia (James) Walker Harrison of Selma, AL, and Minister Teresa Walker Jackson of Decatur, GA; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law.

Pallbearers include Simuel Walker, Chris Walker, Adrain Carey, Derek Jackson, Edward Walker, and Michael Harrison.

Loretta Fikes Ross

Loretta Fikes Ross, 48, of Selma, AL died April 10, 2008 at a local hospital.

Services are scheduled for April 19, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lewis Brothers Funeral Home officiated by Bishop Letha Rumph.

Burial will follow in the Perryville Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Brothers Funeral Homes Inc.

Survivors include husband Wilson Ross, Jr.; parents Mr. and Mrs.

Moses Fikes; one daughter, Veronica Ross; one brother, Willie Neely; and three sisters, Bettie Fikes of California, Vera Fikes of Tuscaloosa, and Lena Fikes of Alabama.

Eugene Price Jr.

Eugene Price Jr., 57, of Selma, AL died April 11, 2008 at a local hospital.

Services are scheduled for Sat.

April 19, 2008 at 1:00

p.m. at the Friendship Baptist Church officiated by Rev. James Earl Price.

Burial will follow at the Friendship Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Brothers Funeral Home Inc.

Preceding him in death was his father, Mr. Eugene Price.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Rosa Lee Price; two brothers, Rev. Arthur Lee Price and Mr. Clarence Price; three sisters, Ms. Letika Price Oliver Moore, Mrs. Melissa Price Miller, and Mrs. Lenora Price Greene. Other relatives include Mr.

Frances Carolyn Prescott

Frances Carolyn Prescott, age 64, of Selma died Wednesday, April 16, 2008 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Prescott retired from Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her father Eddie O.

Ward Jr., and Sister Rita Sutherlin of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Survivors include her husband Paul E.

Prescott Sr., Mother Marie Ward, Son Paul E. Prescott Jr. of Selma, daughters Debbie Dawson (Tommy) of Seale, Alabama, Vicky Johnson (Tommy) of Selma, Brother Eddie Ward of Selma, Sister Donna Arnett of Phenix City, Alabama and three grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Friday, April 18, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at New Live Oak Cemetery with Reverend Rod Rochester officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

Tom Harrell

Tom Harrell, 92, of Marion Junction died Friday, April 11, 2008 , at a local hospital.

Services are scheduled for 12 pm, Saturday, April 19, 2008 at Union Grove Presbyterian Church with Rev. George Bennett officiating.

Burial will follow in Pineview cemetery under the direction of Lewis Brothers Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, John, Abe, Ralph and Peter Harrell; one sister, Jonia Lee Albridge.

Survivors include four sisters, Josephine Goldsby and Vendetta Tolbert, of Marion Junction, AL, Susie Bert and Geneva (Odell) Billingsley of Fort Wayne, IN; two sisters-in-law, Julia Harrell, of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Mildred Harrell, of Detroit, MI, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
