MONTGOMERY – Thanks to some faulty fielding, the Montgomery Biscuits got even with Chattanooga after an 8-5 win Saturday night at Riverwalk Stadium.

Errors by Chattanooga third baseman Michael Griffin and shortstop Eric Hymann allowed two Montgomery runs to score in the bottom of the fifth. The Biscuits led 5-4 and never trailed again.

The teams resumed the series after Friday night’s game was postponed.

Montgomery (1-1) bounced back after the Lookouts (1-1) took a lead to start off the game and then led again after a two-run fifth.

Back-to-back RBI hits by Daniel Dorn and Craig Tatum staked Chattanooga to a 2-0 advantage in the first.

A two-out RBI double off the bat of Erold Andrus in the third put Montgomery ahead.

The lead held until the fifth when Tonys Gutierrez homered and Drew Anderson hit an RBI single to put the Lookouts back on top 4-3.

Wade Davis (1-0) took the win for Montgomery, lasting five innings and giving up four runs. Eddie Morlan picked up his first save of the season.

Lookouts reliever Justin James (0-1) gave up a run in a third of an inning. Starter James Avery went 4 1-3, allowing four runs (three earned).
