Candidates wanting to qualify for offices for the upcoming June 3 primary election may begin to do so with the officials of the party they wish.

The Dallas County Democratic Executive Committee has set up an office at 1015 Water Ave.

Ozetta Thomas, secretary and treasure of the committee, said office hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday through April 4. The office will be open April 4 until 5 p.m., which is the final day to qualify.

Republicans are to qualify personally with Cecil Williamson, the chairman of the Dallas County Republican Party.

Locally, county commissioners are up for election. Other elections include races on the state supreme court, court of civil appeals, court of criminal appeals, public service commission and state board of education.
