Nelle Priester King

Nelle Priester King, age 79, of Selma died Sunday, March 16, 2008, at a local hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at New Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. John Fain officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home Directing.

Mrs. King is survived by her son, Craig S.King III (Tammy), daughters, Elizabeth King Guyton (Bobby), Carolyn King Yarbrough (Ronnie), and LaDayne King Williamson (Brian), grandchildren, Robert Lashley Guyton Jr., Edward Bryant Yarbrough, Austin Smith Guyton, Stewart Morgan Yarbrough, Craig Smith King IV, Laura LaDayne Williamson, and Amanda Joy Williamson, sisters, Jeanne Priester, and Ruth Priester Spencer, of Auburn, AL. She is also survived by 2 great grandchildren, Ryan Thomas Guyton and Ethan Lashley Guyton of Warrensburg, MO. She is preceded in death by her parents, C. Bruce and Elizabeth Priester, husband, Craig S. King Jr., brother, Dr. James R. &8220;Buddy&8221; Priester of Stonewall, AL, and sister, Martha Priester Jolly. Pallbearers will be Robert Lashley Guyton Jr., Austin Smith Guyton, Edward Bryant Yarbrough, Stewart Morgan Yarbrough, and Craig Smith King VI.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to First Baptist Church in Selma, AL.

Ethel Goree Johnston

Ethel Goree Johnston, 88, died Saturday, March 15, 2008, 2 weeks before her 89th birthday.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Johnston and one son, John Johnston. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles William &8220;Billy&8221; and Sharon Johnston, of Nashville, TN, her daughter, Kala O&8217;Brien of Birmingham, 2 granddaughters, Kaitlyn O&8217;Brien and Caroline O&8217;Brien.

Visitation will be from 12:00 until 1:30 P.M. at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with graveside services following at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday March 18, 2008 at New Live Oak Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the First Baptist Church building fund.
