Fulton, Edwards, 62,of Selma, AL died March 4, 2008 at a local hospital.

Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date by Lewis Brothers Funeral Home, Inc.

Alma Pettaway Threat

Alma Pettaway Threat, 41, of Birmingham, AL died Mar. 1, 2008.

Alma was a faithful member of The First Missionary Baptist Church, Pratt City, where she served as Choir Directress and Choir Directress for the Youth Department for the

Mount Pilgrim District Association.

She used her splendid soprano voice and musical talents with several churches and community choirs.

She was a graduate of Minor High School and was awarded a scholarship to attend the University of Alabama, where she was a member of the Million Dollar Marching Band.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 7, 2008 at the First Missionary Baptist Church, Pratt City, 415 Avenue G, Birmingham, AL 35214 with burial in the Lincoln Cemetery, Selma AL. Westside Funeral Home in Calera, AL directing.

The interment will be at the Lincoln Cemetery, Selma, AL with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include spouse, Alvin Threat of Birmingham, AL; 1 son, Alexander Uriah Threat of Birmingham, AL, 1 daughter, Amber Vania Pettaway of Birmingham, AL; parents Rev. Collins Pettaway, Sr., and Mrs. Alma M Pettaway both of Birmingham, AL; 5 brothers, Bruce Wayne Griffin of Buffalo, NY, L. Vann Pettaway (Glenn) of Huntsville, AL, Collins Pettaway, Jr. (Synethia) of Selma, AL, James H. Pettaway (Rositta) of Birmingham, AL and Anthony &8220;Tony&8221; Pettaway (Elece) of Birmingham, AL;

3 sisters, Lucretia Diane Pettaway of Selma, AL, Maria Vance (Eric) of Birmingham, AL, and Denise Johnson (John) of Selma, AL.

The body will lie in state at the church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

William &8220;Bill&8221;

Carl King

William &8220;Bill&8221; Carl King , 60, of Selma, AL died on Friday, Feb. 29, 2008 at Vaughan Hospital.

Services are scheduled for 12 p.m., Thursday, March 6, 2008 at Queen of Peace Church. Burial will follow in Live Oak cemetery under the direction of Lewis Brothers Funeral Home, Inc.

He was preceded in death by his parents, the Late Phillip and Lula King.

Survivors include one brother, Phillip Martin King Jr. of Selma, AL, two sisters, Mary Alice Williams, of

Wichita, KS and one sister-in-law, Reverta White of Selma, AL, a host of other relatives, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends, one special friend, Nancy Blue.

Pallbearers will be Honor Guards and Honorary Pallbearers Knight of Columbus.
