After winning an overtime game Friday, the Rams were faced with the same situation Monday night in the 3A Area 5 title game.

“Most definitely, overtime will make you get older real quick,” Rams coach Woodie Jackson said. “Just like Friday, we were standing around and didn’t box out like we should have.”

Marion came into the game off a two-point win in overtime against Choctaw County in the tournament semifinals.

Greensboro missed two free throws with the game tied at 51 and one second left in regulation.

Demetrius Tabb led the Raiders with 16 points, and Devontae Tubbs scored 11.

Jackson credited the floor leadership of Arrington, who scored five points and passed out six assists from his point guard position. Deadrian Williams had 16 points and 10 rebounds, and Jerome Smith scored 11.

The Rams will play Central-Hayneville at 7 p.m. Friday in the sub-regionals.
