Edith Annell Moore

Edith Annell Moore, age 82, of Selma died Sunday February 10, 2008 in a local hospital. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M.

Tuesday February 12, 2008 at Pineview Memory Gardens officiated by Rev Von McQueen and directed by Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home.

Mrs. Moore is survived by nieces, Annell Dempsey, Lois Marie Smith, Sue Ann Connell, nephews, Presley Lamb and Joe Winnette, brother-in-law, Leonard Moore and long time friend, Betty Martin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Eugene Moore of Selma, sister, Mildred Lamb of Huntsville, brother, William G. Winette of Anderson.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

James Marvin Melton

James Marvin Melton died Monday, February 11, 2008, at a local hospital.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 13, 2008, at Elkdale Baptist Church with Rev. Micah Gandy officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery.

Mr. Melton was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Suther Melton and his son, Gary Marvin Melton.

He is survived by his children, Ann Melton Bradley(Bill), Barbara Melton Moore (Roy), Jane Melton Henderson (Chris), Julie Melton Simmons (Ben), and Susan McDonald, grandchildren, Pam Rhea, Brian Bradley, Coy Moore, Heather Moore, Ed Moore, Teresa Morgan, Kendall Smith, Kelly Simmons, Kevin Simmons, Kyle Melton, Dana Melton, five great grandchildren, and longtime family friend, Josephine Craig.

Pallbearers will be all six grandsons.

Mr. Melton was a longtime member and deacon of Elkdale Baptist Church, and a member of the Civitan Club, Elks Club, Selma Water Board, and Selma City Council, and he was an avid golfer.

Family will receive friends at Elkdale prior to the service from 10 -11

Brenda Blake Kelly

Brenda Blake Kelly, 49, residence of Selma, AL, died Sunday, February 10, 2008 at her home.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Lewis Brothers Funeral Home, Inc.

Charles A. Rountree

Charles A. Rountree died Monday February 11, 2008.
