This from Susan Wasley, director of corporate communications of BE&K about a weather-related incident at International Paper in Selma:

“Early this morning, two BE&K employees at Selma’s International Paper mill were momentarily knocked to the ground when lightning struck a nearby object. Neither man lost consciousness. Paramedics were called to the scene, where the men were carefully examined before being released to return to work.

Our first concern is for the safety and privacy of BE&K and IP employees. BE&K and International Paper will continue to gather the facts surrounding this incident, and work together to ensure a safe working environment for all people at the mill.&8221;
