Sydney Eagerton led Lowndes Academy to a 41-26 win over Meadowview Christian in the title game of their area tournament Friday night.

Eagerton scored nine points for the Rebels, tops among all scorers.

Carol Ann McIntyre and Deavan Aultman both scored eight points and had five rebounds to lead the Trojans.

Kayla Mason, Jordan Pettus and Chelsie Kilpatrick all scored eight points for Lowndes.

The win gives the Rebels a top-four seed when regional play begins Thursday in Montgomery.

Meadowview will be seeded in the bottom four.
