Ms. Ceabelle Davis, 81, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, at Lighthouse Nursing Home.

Funeral services are scheduled at noon, Sat. Feb. 2, 2008, at Great St. Paul.

Mr. Cleophus Ford Sr., died on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008, at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, at Phillips Grove M.B.Church with the Rev. Kirk Ellison Sr. officiating. Interment will be in Pineview cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home Inc. directing.

Mr. Ford is preceded in death by his parents, the late Mr. & Mrs. Eugene Ford Sr. and two brothers, the late Mr. Eugene (Estelle), and late Mr. O.T. Ford.

Surviving is his wife, Mrs. Emma Mae Ford; four sons., Cleophus (Shou Fong) Ford Jr., Jerry E. Ford, Anthony E. (Rosalyn) Ford and Kenneth P. Ford; three daughters, Sarah Ford-Pugh, Mary L. Ford-Patrick and Valarie (Juan) Walker; five brothers, Will T. (Vivian), Thomas (Sarah), Clinton (Melinda), Frank (Willa), Arthur and John (Emma), four sister, Dorothy (Mac) Johnson, Essie Lockhart, Mary (Ervin) Cook and Glenda Faye Ford.

Ms. Mary Lee &8220;Tiny&8221; Rivers, 62, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center.

Ms. Rivers was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo and Mary Rivers; three brothers, Eugene Rivers, Mack Rivers and Alonzo Rivers Jr.; and two sisters-in-law, Dorothy and Lula Mae Rivers.

Survivors include two sons, Arthur (Ella) Rivers of Selma, and Eugene (Hazel) Rivers of Elasmere, Ky.; one daughter, Janice M. Haynes (Melvin) of Orrville; two sisters, Louise (Henry) Dragg of Beloit, and Viola Rivers of Selma; 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; a caring friend Ms. Fannie Knight of Selma; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mr. Charles D. Scott III

Columbus, Ohio

&8212; Mr. Charles D. Scott III, died Jan. 23, 2008.

Services were held Jan. 29, in Columbus, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles D. Scott II.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Maria; his three children, Charles IV (Anjoli), Nia, and Carver; his mother, Margaret F. Scott; and his sister, Margaret (Grady) Broadnax, of Selma; his nieces and nephews; many cousins; and a host of friends.

He was a deacon and teacher at Tried-stone Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a member for more than 30 years.

He was born in Tuskegee Institute, Ala., on March 18, 1945, but spent most of his boyhood in Selma, Ala.

He graduated from Tuskegee with a bachelor&8217;s in biology and he earned a masters degree in management and supervision from Central Michigan University.

He also received a USAF Commission of Second Lieutenant via the AFROTC.

He spent several years as an Air Force officer, realizing his dream of becoming an Air Force Pilot in the early 1970s.

He was also an active skydiver, logging over 240 jumps.

Chuck served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves after active duty, serving In the Persian Gulf War.

He received The Air Medal for his war efforts.

He retired from the Reserves as a Lieu-tenant Colonel in 1991.

He was the broker of Scott Q. Realty, and he became a member of the Five Million Dollar Club of the Columbus Board of Realtors (CBR).

Chuck was an active member and officer of the Columbus-Whitehall Toastmasters Club and a founding member of the Trilogrogan Toast-masters Club.

Mr. Paul Suther

Stanton &8212; Mr. Paul Suther, 88, died Jan. 23, 2008.

Ms. Syble Neal Tingle

Pickensville &8212; Syble Neal Tingle, 72, died Jan. 29, 2008, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m.

today, at Spring Hill Baptist Church, with Bro. James Moss presiding.

Burial will be at Magnolia Memorial Gardens in Aliceville, Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the church.

She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Tingle; a grandson, Brenton Park; parents, Ruben and Lizzie Dunn Neal; and sisters, Opal French and Mattie Ashmore.

Survivors include her husband, Hayes &8220;Andy&8221; Tingle of Pickensville; daughter Sheila Tingle Park (Walt) of Ralph; sisters, Katherine Haddon of Jackson, Miss., Sue Watson (Jimmy) of San Antonio, Texas, Billie Sayes (Billy) of Greenwood, Miss.; grandchildren, Kyle and Lauren Park of Ralph; and a host of sisters and brothers-in-law and cousins that she was very close to; and a very special member of the family Reba Denise Reed (Jeff) of Denver, Colo.

Syble was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.

She was born April 13, 1935, in the Mississippi Delta and married the love of her life in 1957.

They were able to spend the next 50 years together, the first 20 years were spent as a military family traveling all over the world and the next 22 years were spent holding the home down and raising children while Andy worked in an oil field in Alaska.

They moved to Pickensville from Selma in 1990 to enjoy the Tennessee-Tombigbee River.

Andy retired in 1996 to be at home with Syble, his daughter, and her family so they could enjoy time on the water, shopping together, working in their garden and daylilies, and spending time with their grandchildren, friends and family.

Syble was loved and will be deeply missed.

Pallbearers will be nephews, Neal and Hal Haddon, Michael Tingle and Barry McDonald and son-in-law Walt Park, Jerry Kelly and Dell Lemley. Honorary pallbearers will be friends and neighbors of Rivermont in Pickensville and the Ralph community, Dr. Dale Robbins and staff, Bro. James Moss and Eleanor, Dr. Charles Gross, Dr. Pamela Hughes, members of Spring Hill Baptist church, Tuscaloosa VA Primary Care Clinic manager and staff, Tuscaloosa VA Primary Care Supper Club, Amedisys Hospice, Cindy Traweek RN, Pickens County Hospital Home Health, Barbara Knowles and family, and Julie Bridges and family.

Mr. Earnest Wellington

Cartersville, Ga.

&8212; Mr. Earnest Wellington was born on April 6, 1964, to the late Emmett And Corine Hunter Wellington in Sardis, Ala.

Earnest&8217;s courageous fight for life ended on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, at Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, at New Bride Baptist Church in Sardis, Ala.

Burial will follow at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery with Miller Funeral Services directing and Pastor Curtis Jackson officiating.

He accepted Christ and joined the Historical Brown Chapel A.M.E. church in Selma, Ala.

Earnest&8217;s job granted him the opportunity to travel an array of cities.

During his stay in Grand Prairie, Texas, he joined the Potter&8217;s House Church under the leadership of Bishop T.D. Jakes.

Earnest was an outstanding salesman of 14 years with Kirby Vacuum Company. Due to his success as a salesman, Earnest became a distributor, managing his own office in October 2006.

He worked diligently until his health descended.

He leaves behind one sister, Mary Ann Smith (Joenathan), South Holland, Chicago, Ill.; three brothers, George Hunter (Phyllis), North Pole, A.C.

Hunter (Ethel), Selma, Ala., David Hunter (Sharon) Valley Grande, Ala.; three aunts, Anna Landers, Sardis, Ala., Willie Lee Hunter, Sardis, Ala., Mary Wagner, Clewiston, Fla., 11 nephews, three nieces, a host of half brothers and sisters, cousins and friends; and a special friend, Crystal Stallard of Cartersville, Ga.
