Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Lee & Rollins Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Clearthur Billingsley officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery, Marion with Lee & Rollins Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Billy Charles Cope

Billy Charles Cope, 70, died Tuesday

Jan. 22, 2008, at a local hospital.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, Jan.

25, 2008,

at Pine-view Memory Gardens with the Rev.

Micah Gandy officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Cope is survived by his wife, Alice Bean Cope of Selma, sons, Billy C. Cope of Pontotoc, Miss. , and Lee Boozer of Selma, daughters, Bonnie (Ernest) Lewis of Reform, and Angie (Guy) Free-man of Alabaster.

Mr. Cope is also survived by his sister, Ruby Schmidt of Warren, Mich., a special sister-in-law Martha Warren of Selma, and six grandchildren, T.J. Faulkner, Jarrod Brewer, Justin Brewer, Jessica Freeman, Guy Free-man Jr., and Abbie Johnson.

Pallbearers will be Billy Cope, Ernest Lewis, Guy Freeman, Lee Boozer, Jarrod Brewer, Justin Brewer, T.J.

Faulkner and Guy Freeman Jr.

Honorary pallbearers are Jack Wright, Dr. Wylie Newton Dr. Kent Taylor, Dr. Julian Howell, and Dr.

Samer Fahoum.

Mr. Latrel A. (Tony) Walker, 28, died Jan.

22, 2008, at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Services are scheduled for noon, Saturday, Jan.

26, 2008, at Shiloh Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. Joshua Davis. Burial will be at Zion M.P.

Church Cemetery.

Services will be directed by Miller Funeral Service.

Survivors include his parents, Sharron (James) Shannon and Sterling (Martha) Sanders Jr.; one brother, Jamund Martin; three sisters, Tamika Sanders, Marquita Sanders and Janelle Sanders; as well as four nephews, four uncles; four aunts; four stepbrothers; one stepsister; grandparents, Mr.

and Mrs. Sterling Sanders Sr.; and one grandfather, Mr. Frank Coleman.

Mr. Luther L. Huntington, 54, died Jan. 21, 2008.

Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, at at Ward Chapel A.M.E. Church.

Burial will be in New Live Oak Cemetery.

Survivors include his spouse, Addie Huntington; mother, Mrs. Margaret London; three sons, Aaron (Olivia) Huntington, Joseph Huntington and Luther (Erin) King; one daughter, Amber Shay Huntington; two brothers, Eddie Huntington and Alphonse London; four sisters, Pauline (Melvin) Lewis, Phyllis (Johnnie) Leashore, Virgina Thaylor, Margaret (Sidney) Fitts; nine grandchildren; six brothers-in-law, seven sisters-in-law; a host of nieces and nephews.

Jefferson &8212; Mrs. Dorothy Compton, 72, died recently at Mobile Infirmary Hospital, Mobile.

Funeral Services will be held at noon, Saturday,

at First Mt.

Pleasant Baptist Church, Jefferson.

The Rev. Edmond Charleston will officiate.

Interment will follow in Jefferson Cemetery, Jefferson.

The remains will repose at the church on Saturday beginning at 11 a.m.

Public viewing will be held Friday from 1 to 7 p.m.

Mrs. Emma Quinney-Ross

Mrs. Emma Quinney-Ross, 79 of Birmingham, formerly of Gallion, died Jan. 19, 2008, at St. Vincent Hospital, Birmingham.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008,

at the Hopewell Baptist Church, Linden.

The Rev. Mitchell Congress will be the eulogist.

The Rev. Joseph Harper is the pastor.

Interment will follow in McKinley Memorial Gardens, Linden.

The remains will repose beginning at noo nat the church.

Ms. Channie Surles, 64, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008, at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m., Sat. Jan. 26, 2008, at Town Creek Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Bonner.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Survivors include two sons, Leo Surles and Frank (LaWanda) Surles; five daughters, Ella (Vince) Madison, Clearice (Napoleiton) Hamilton, Bessie Surles.

She was preceded in death by Willie Mae Surles, Janelset (Wayne Moore) and Loretta Surles; five brothers, David Lee Gordon (Rhonda Patterson), Authur (Eve) Gordon, Willie C. Gordon. She was also

preceded in death by Eulas C. Gordon and Henry Gordon; eight sisters, Lovelean Harris, Rose Lee Sanders, Ethel Lee Gordon, Annie Brenson; Maude Stallworth, Lucy Lee, Rose B. Baskin and Dorothy Mae; 22 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and host of other nieces, nephews as well as one God-daughter, Inell Howard, two devoted friends, Robert Walker (Luke) and Robert Smith (Len).

Nathaniel Clemons (Shem), 74, resident of Dallas, Co. died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2008, at a hospital in Camden.

Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Little Rock No. 2 Baptist Church, Minter,

officiated by Pastor Alfreda Mack.

Burial will be in the church cemetery directed by Brown Lee Funeral Home, Camden.

Mr. Clemons was preceded in death by his parents,

Jan., 16, 2008, at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Services will be held at noon Saturday at Lewis Brothers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev.

Burial will be at Fairlawn Cemetery.
