Mr. Robert J. McDowell

Robert J. McDowell, 77, a resident of Selma,

passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Ellen McDowell; son, DeWayne Hinson and a brother, Jack McDowell.

Surviving are his sons, David McDowell, Robert (Francis) McDowell, Kelly (April) McDowell and grandchildren, Kim (Bob) Petit, Thomas McDowell, Karen McDowell, Eric McDowell, Beth McDowell, Cody McDowell, Taylor McDowell and Autumn McDowell;

and great-grandchildren, Sam McDowell, Tyler McDowell, Caden McDowell, Sean McDowell and Shana McDowell.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008, at Selma Funeral Home Chapel with Archbishop Charles Jones officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home

from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008.
