Plant Street residents got a little extra Christmas cheer this year in the form of Christmas carolers.

Dubbed the &8220;Plant Street Carolers,&8221; the musical group, many from Atlanta and Houston, trekked up and down the street, bearing candles and singing traditional holiday songs such as &8220;We Wish You

a Merry Christmas&8221; and &8220;Jingle Bells.&8221; Kids on the block came out to sing along.

Lake and sister Jacinta Lewis came up with the idea.
