Arson

has been ruled out in the early Saturday morning blaze on Water Avenue that claimed the life of Roy Parker.

Fire investigators said it started in Parker’s bedroom, and there are three possibilities of what did it, said Fire Chief Henry Allen, who met with Jeb Harrison, state fire marshal, Saturday to learn the results of the investigation.

Neighbors told authorities they heard a boom come from the house before firefighters arrived.
