The Selma Quarterback Club will punctuate its next-to-last meeting of the season with radio personality Max Howell.

The Prattville native attended both Auburn and Troy Universities, where he played college football and earned a master’s in school administration and finance. He worked as an administrator and a coach in several Division-I football programs around the South, including Florida State, Ole Miss, and Troy.

Howell is best known as the host of multiple syndicated sports radio programs across the South. He was the founding member of both “Conference Call” and “Southern Sports Tonight” and currently is a host on the new network radio program “Max’d Out with Max Howell,” airing over 1,500 interviews a year in eight states across the South.

He is also the president of the up-and-coming SMI Radio Network, and the national spokesman for the World Powerboat Championships, to be held annually in Destin, Fla.

The club’s meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Selma Convention Center.
