Mrs. Sara Grae Lawrence

Mrs. Sara Grae Lawrence, 73, of Orrville, passed away, Saturday,

Nov.10, 2007.

Mrs. Lawrence taught school at Eight Mile Elementary School for 31 years and was a member of a sorority for teachers.

She enjoyed reading, teaching school and antiquing. She was a member of Orrville Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Bertram E. Lawrence Jr.; one daughter, Sheryl

and husband Michael McCord; sisters, Nell and husband Charles Dixon, Ann and husband William Thomas and Jewell and husband Frank Williamson; granddaughter, Brandi and husband Danny Coleman and great-grandchildren, Sarah Ruth Coleman and Chloe Marie Coleman.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007, at at Beaver Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. George K. Jones Sr. officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Clayton Lawrence, Clayton Lawrence, Jr., Frank Williamson, William Thomas, Randy Thomas, and Charles Dixon.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Mayton, Jim Mayton, Roy Etheridge, Henri Etheridge, Pete Bedsole and J. B. Dowdle.

Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, at Vaughan Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Mildred Alexander Prescott

Mrs. Mildred Alexander Prescott, 82, of Selma died Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, at a local nursing home.

Services were 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007, at the chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral How. Burial followed in New Live Oak Cemetery.

Mrs. Prescott is survived by her husband, Lloyd H. Prescott; children, Carolyn and husband Steen Traylor and Wanda and husband Wayne Smith; grandchildren, Amy T. and husband Tad Lightfoot, Casey and husband Todd Cary and Wesley Smith; six great grand children; and sister, Chloe Duncan.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, James Steen Traylor Jr.

Active pallbearers were Wayne Smith, Wesley Smith, Todd Cary, Wayne Hand, Charles Alford and Tad Lightfoot.

The family received friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
