Ms. Geneva Olice Atchison, 75, of Selma died Oct. 27, 2007, at her home.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2007, at Tabernacle Methodist Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Darwin officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her children, Jackie (Mike) Norris, Tammy (John) Moore and Jody (Beth) Atchison; grandchildren, Tony (Denise) Norris, Chad (Amy) Norris, Misty (Dan) Melett, Summer (Neal) Posey, Nathan (Lacie) Rainwater,

Blake Rainwater, Clinton Atchison, Chris Atchison, Coba Atchison and Casey Atchison; great-grandchildren, Ariel Wilson, Lauren Norris, Chad Norris Jr., Sara Clay Norris, Acie Rainwater, Riley Melett; brother, Donald (Betty Jo) Lawrence; sisters, Evelyn (Welch) Roebuck, Inez Lane, Nettie Smith, Vernell (Bob) Davis, Augusta Harris, Bettye (John L) Mitchell, and Barbara (CW) Rush, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Cecil Jack Atchison; son, Bryant Atchison; daughter, Elizabeth Rainwater; parents, Coba and Irene Lawrence; brothers, Branson Lawrence and Coba Lawrence Jr. and sister, Lovice Smith.

Pallbearers will be Chad Norris, Blake Rainwater, Coba Atchison, Neal Posey, Nathan Rainwater, Casey Atchison, and Shane Atchison.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Robert Miller Creswell,

93, diedSaturday, Oct. 27, 2007, at the Camden Nursing Facility, in Camden.

He was born in Worcester, Mass., on Feb. 24, 1917, the younger son of Lillian M. Ott Creswell and George Washington Creswell.

He was educated in the public schools of Worcester, Mass., Worcester Academy and Massachusetts State College in Amherst, which is now The University of Massachusetts.

He was inducted into the U.S. Army on Feb. 11, 1941, serving in the Armored Forces and the U.S. Paratroopers for a total of five years, before and during World War II.

While at Fort Benning, Ga., he met Grace Morgan, a teacher in Columbus, Ga.

They married in 1954 and had four children.

Following his U.S. Army service, Mr. Creswell remained in the U.S. Army Reserve, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1977.

He was an insurance adjuster for 15 years before moving south.

He became a reservoir ranger at Lake Allatoona, Ga., in 1964 and was promoted to reservoir manager for the Alabama River Lakes when they were activated in 1969, when he and his family moved to Camden.

He retired in 1984 from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, but remained in Camden.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Grace; his daughter Barbara Grace, who died in 2002, and his older brother George R. Creswell of Liecester, Mass.

He is survived by Philip M. (Sulynn) of Camden, John R. (Jean) of Lamison and Thomas L. (Elizabeth) of Panama City, Fla.; two grand-children, Joshua Morgan and Laura Grace of Camden; four step-grand-children, Clayton R. Tartt of Montgomery, T. Hester Tartt of Atlanta and Jennifer R. and N. Anne Goggans, both of Lamison.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Camden, under the direction of Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Camden Baptist Church

with the Rev. Joe Cole officiating.

Visitation will be held at the church preceding the services.
