Behind nine kills and 12 assists from Jaye Lyn Lawrence, Morgan swept the match and the season series against Meadowview with a three-game win Tuesday night.

The Trojans kept things close all night but didn’t get any long scoring rallies going after the Senators’ mistakes.

Despite several offensive lapses and misplays on defense, Morgan held on for wins of 25-14, 25-19, 25-18.

Meadowview’s Rachel Eggert knocked in a pair of service aces and briefly gave her team a 3-2 lead in game one.

Five unanswered points from the Senators -matching their longest run of the entire night – put them ahead 10-5 and gave them the lead for good. Elizabeth Griffin later went on a four-point serving run, and the Senators went ahead 24-14 before closing out the game.

Kaylene Parrish dug out balls to help the Trojans survive a couple of long volleys in game two, and they tied the score at 9 after starting the game down 4-0.

Then four service points from Kasey Green gave Morgan another lead Meadowview wasn’t able to come back from.

Taylor Hayes got the Trojans as close as 19-15 later on, but they didn’t get any closer.

In game three, Morgan fell behind 12-11, but Griffin came back with four more points on service to give her team a four-point lead.

Katie DeWitt later aided a five-point run to give Morgan a 23-15 lead.
