Aaron Lawrence Harris, 20, of Valley Grande and Michael Hunter, 20, of Selma were arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and not having a license to carry weapon after police discovered $8,000 worth of marijuana, a Hi-Point nine millimeter handgun and over $1,000 in cash during a routine traffic stop Monday.

According to a press-released statement issued by the Selma Police Department, Officer Christopher Harris was patrolling Citizen’s Parkway at approximately 9:50 p.m. Monday when he stopped a black Chevrolet Caprice. Harris was driving the vehicle; Hunter was in the passenger’s seat.

Both suspects were booked processed and transported to the Dallas County Jail. Bond is set at $75,000 each.
