Dorothy Holley Walker

Dorothy Holley Walker of Las Vegas, NV, died on July 15, 2006. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. in New Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. Micah Gandy officiating and Lawrence-Brown Service Funeral Home directing. Survivors include her two daughters, Linda Walker and Carol Click and a son, Bill Walker.

Gladys P. Riddle, age 77, of Selma passed away July 25, 2006 at her home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 28, 2006 in the New Live Oak Cemetery with

Rev. Frank Calloway officiating and Lawrence-Brown Service Funeral Home directing. Survivors include her daughter; Carol (Fisher) Folmer, granddaughter; Christa (Mike) Jackson, great-grandchildren; Houston, Allie, Kenna & Gabby, a brother; Elbert Trawick and 2 nephews. Family visitation will be from 6-8 on Thursday, July 27, 2006.

Margie Freeland

Fort Walton, Fla. – Margie Freeland, age 77, of Fort Walton, Florida died on July 18, 2006 at Santa Rosa Medical Center in Milton, Florida. A memorial service was held in Fort Walton.

Mrs. Freeland was a long time employee of Peoples Bank and Trust in Selma. She was an active member of Elkdale Baptist Church. Due to failing health, she moved to Fort Walton to be near family members.

She is survived by her son, Greg Freeland of Fort Walton; a granddaughter, Jerica Freeland; four sisters, Bernice Oakes (Bennett) of Greensboro, AL, Myrlee (J.M.) Hartley of Montgomery, AL, Jo Ann (Bob) Sponaugle of Manassas, VA, and Faye Stripp (Wayne) of Richmond, VA. She is also survived by two brothers, Howard (Fredna) Edmonds of Selma, AL and Ford (Mary Ann) Edmonds, Townsend, TN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ada Edmonds of Greensboro, AL.
