To the Editor:

Why is a landfill being brought in that is not going to be monitored?

2. What is the benefit of having a landfill? Only about 75 jobs will be generated and that is only for heavy machine operators.

3. What will this do to our environmental safety? There will be no state or federal inspections.

4. Who will pay to clean up our water supply?

I oppose a landfill being brought into the location of which I reside.

I believe that the landfill will ruin the Alabama River where my family’s recreational activities take place.

We will be left in an unsafe environment and that’s not how we want to live.

We depend on the river for all of our water activities and if a landfill is brought in, it will cease any fun that we wish to have on the Alabama River. Our property values will go down, our water table will be contaminated and the river will be full of debris.

I oppose the landfill!!
