Why bother with parking laws?

To the Editor:

Why can’t people park where they’re supposed to?

All over town, cars are parked on lawns, on school sidewalks, anywhere that saves the driver a few steps. No one seems to care that it is tacky, lazy and against the law.

Why bother to have ordinances, if they are going to be routinely ignored and rarely if ever enforced?
