Doris Marie Quarles

Doris Marie Quarles, age 80, of Gulf Shores, AL passed away June 10, 2006.

Graveside services were Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at Pineview Memory Gardens with Rev. Roger Beason officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.

Visitation was held prior to the service.

She is survived by her daughters, Peggy (Alvin) Rhoney, Doris Jean (Mike) Copsin and Mary Catherine Downard; one brother, James Carl (Emma) Massey; one sister, Mary Alice Pierce; six grandchildren, James Bearden, Tammie Smith, Jennifer Copsin, Amanda Tolbert, Sandra Rola and April Harris and 8 great grandchildren, Michael Pruett, Sonny Pruett, Jace Bearden, Alexandra Bandow, Andrew Smith, Amanda Smith, Morgan Rola and Gabrielle Bearden.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Braxton G.”Bubba” Quarles, Jr.

Pallbearers were Jimmy Pierce, Walter Pierce, Tommy Pierce, Brad Pierce, Billy Morgan, Steve Smith, Mike Copsin and Al Rhoney.

Mrs. Quarles was one of the founding members of the South Baldwin First Christian Church.

She loved her church and all the members. She also loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

John Fitzgerald Lee

John Fitzgerald Lee, age 41, of Birmingham, AL died on May 28, 2006 in Birmingham, AL.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2006 at 12:00 noon at Plant Street Baptist Church with Fredrick Hardy officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with Miller Funeral Service directing.

Survivors include: his wife, Daisy Lee; parents, David & Rachel Lee; three sons, John Brown, Kermarcus Brown and Jewel Brown; two daughters, Betty Brown and Jonita Brown; four brothers, David Lee, Jr. (Stpehanie), Earnest Lee, Fredrick Lee, Cecil Lee (Margaret), and Tony Wood; five sisters, Brenda Ward (David), Pamela Lee (Randy), Cassandra Williams (Robert), Arelenda Pope (James, Jr.) and Mary Ann Wood; a sister-in-law, Rosa Lee; three grandchildren, two sons-in-laws; three daughters-in-laws; eight brothers-in-laws; six sisters-in-laws; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Antonio Lee.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Willie Maxwell, age 85, of Selma, Alabama died on June 12, 2006 at Park Place Nursing Home. Funeral services and survivors will be announced later by Miller Funeral Service.
