Charles Jarvis, Jr.

Charles Jarvis, Jr., age 71, of Selma, AL passed away May 30, 2006 at his residence.

Graveside services will be Thursday, June 1, 2006, 2:00 p.m. at Pineview Memory Gardens with Rev. Daniel Martin officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be prior to the service at 12:00-2:00 p.m.

He is survived by his wife, Janice C. Jarvis; two sons, Bryant Scott (Joyce) Jarvis and Michael Bryan (Cheryl) Jarvis; two daughters, Patricia Ann (Tommy) Herrod and Mary Katherine Hudson; two brothers, John Jarvis and Richard Jarvis; two sisters, Alice Felber and Margaret McDonald; nine grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Michael Jarvis, Doyle Hudson, Matt Long, Ronald Gray, Wayne Long and Scott Jarvis.

Honorary pallbearers will be Cahaba Hospice personnel.

Sandra Hill

Sandra Hill, age 62, of Boaz, Alabama, formerly of Selma, died on May 27, 2006 at Marshall Medical Center in Boaz, AL. Funeral services were held on Sunday, May 28, 2006 at 4:00 PM at McRae Funeral Home. Bro. Welton Brooks officiated. Burial followed in Hillcrest Cemetery and McRae Funeral Home directed.

Survivors include: one son, Jerry M. Hill, Jr.; three daughters, Sherry Law, Terry Hill and Kerry Hill Bradley; one sister, Judy (Ron) Norris; nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two sons-in-laws, one daughter-in-law, one brother-in-law, three nephews and one niece.

Jimmie Mines

Mr. Jimmie Mines, age 95 of Demopolis, Alabama passed May 25, 2006 at Bryan Whitfield Hospital, Demopolis, Alabama.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 3, 2006 at 1 p.m. at the Greater New Hope Baptist Church, Demopolis, Alabama. Rev. Honoree Lockett will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Paul Cemetery, Gallion, Alabama. The remains will repose at the church on Saturday beginning at 12 p.m.

Freddie Mae Williams

Freddie Mae Williams, age 78, formerly of Sardis, passed away on May 30, 2006 at her home in Lima, OH.

Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date by J.H. Williams & Sons Funeral Home.
