What the Helms-Burton bill did is impose a blockade of Cuba. Not until recently has it become an embargo.

What would be gained by dropping the embargo? Ten million U.S. tourists a year – a substantial income for the island nation.

With the new prospect of oil and natural gas, Cuba is looking at a new prosperity.

Now that the rest of the world is finally placing embassies back in Cuba trade will once again flourish.

The new agreements between Cuba and China change the entire picture.

Cuba has 20 percent of the world’s nickel and China has a great demand for that resource.
