To the Editor:

I have some good news to share with golfers from Selma. Mike Smith, a Selma native, has qualified to play in the Seniors PGA tournament in Birmingham. We are all proud of Mike and his good golf. Maybe he can win a large check or even win the entire tournament. We will be waiting for reports of a good tournament for Mike. Several years ago, I shot 77 at the country club. Smith shot 61 the same day to set the course record. So you know he can play. Good luck Mike!
