To the Editor:

I am concerned about

our movie theater.

Why has it not opened?

I know the story behind the closing of the theater and my sympathy goes out to the family, but now I feel like it’s time to reopen our theater. The people of Selma should not have to drive out of town to see a movie. I have read in many

articles in the Selma Times about keeping the money in your city. That’s impossible!

The people of Selma really don’t have anywhere to go for entertainment purposes.

Is there anything that can be done about the theater?

Or is it a lost cause?
