Christopher Columbus Phillips

Christopher Columbus Phillips, 97, died Friday, May 12, 2006, at Warren Manor Nursing Home. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2006, at Orrville Cemetery with Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing and the Rev. John Davis officiating. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

Mr. Phillips is survived by his daughter, Mabel Morris of Michigan; one son, Fred (Cindy) Morgan of Selma; daughter-in-law, Helen Phillips; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Phillips; sons, Roy Phillips and Willie C. Morgan; daughter, Fannie Gray Griffith; and son-in-law, Larry Morris.

The family would like to express special thanks for the staff of Wiregrass Hospice and the physicians and nurses at Warren Manor Nursing Home.

Joseph Tillman Scarborough Sr., 87, of Tallassee, Ala., died Friday, May 12, 2006, in his home.

Services were held Sunday, May 14 at Marion Cemetery.
