James Howard Gables
James Howard Gables, age 48, of Marion, Iowa, formerly of Gadsden, Alabama, passed away April 30, 2006 in a hospital in Iowa.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel in Ider, Alabama. Burial will follow at Fuller Cemetery in Ider, Alabama with Cornerstone Funeral Home directing.
Family visitation will be on May 5, 2006 from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m.
Family will receive friends on May 5, 2006 from 3:00 until 9:00p.m.
Survivors include: wife, Donna Gables; step mother, Betty Gables; sons, Jamie Gables and Billy Gables; daughter, Kelly Lowman; brothers, Robert Gables, Glen Gables, Gussie Gables and Edward Gables; step brothers, Jackie Vinning, Jeff Vinning, Joseph Vinning, Jerry Vinning, and Billy Vinning; sisters, Wanda Slater, Sherry Manning, Edna Laney, Darlene Bell, Elizabeth Wilson, Annie Wyatt, Edna Sims and Nellie Spears; step sister, Beverly Nicholes; and a host of other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Nellie Gables; brothers, Buddy Gables and Bill Gables.
Pallbearers will be brothers-in-laws and honorary pallbearers will be sisters and brothers.

Mildred (Motes) Langseth
Mildred Tennimon (Motes) Langseth, 82, passed away April 28, 2006.
Visitation will be held from 2-5 p.m., Sunday, April 30, 2006, at McGilley & Frye Funeral Chapel, 105 E. Loula Street, Olathe, Kan., 66061, 913-782-0582.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Monday, May 1, 2006, at Vista Baptist Church, 901 N. Parker Street, Olathe.
Mildred was born in Sycamore, Ala., on February 3, 1924.
She married James (JP) Motes in Selma, Ala., in 1939. She and JP moved to the Kansas City area in 1957.
Mildred resided in Alabama between 1971-1979, and returned to Olathe.
Mildred was widowed from JP in 1978.
She was remarried to Clif Langseth in Olathe in 2000.
She is survived by her husband, Clif Langseth; her seven children, Ray Motes, Faye Rushing, Ronald Motes, Bev Brown, Kathy Motes, Tammy Glover, and Keith Motes; three step-children, Chris Langseth, Mark Langseth, and Amy Scott; 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and one brother, Leo Tennimon of Selma, Ala.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Gideons International.
Walter Keith Gaddy
Walter Keith Gaddy, age 88, of Selma died on Monday, May 1, 2006 at his home.
Services will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Micah Gandy officiating. Burial will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery with Lawrence Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Gaddy was preceded in death by his wife, Bettie Jo Gaddy; son, Charles K. Gaddy.
He was a charter member of Elkdale Baptist Church.
Survivors include: daughters, Jerry Watson of Gulf Breeze, Fla. and Frances Herring of Auburdale, Fla.; five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers will be James Wiggins, Devan Simpson, Richard Barrett, Les Herring, Russell Gregg and Roger Nichols.
The family will receive friends at Lawrence Funeral Home from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday.
Linda Sue Simmons Lawrence
Linda Sue Simmons Lawrence died on Tuesday, May 2, 2006 in an Opp hospital.
Chapel services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 4, 2006 at Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Rhymes and Rev. Richard Lawrence officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens.
She is survived by three sons, Jeff Lawrence (Sharron), Oliver Lawrence, Jr. (Lynn) and Paul Lawrence; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three sisters, Paulette Cockrell (Bill), Shirley Leggins, and Kathy Turvin (John); three brothers, Ray Simmons, Terry Simmons, and Harold Simmons; step-mother, Mary O. Taylor; three step-sisters, Jean Fikes, Betty Smith and Peggy Walker; two step-brothers, Michael Pate and Joe Pate; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Joe Gibson, Joe O’Young, John Turvin, Jody Lawrence, Chase Sanders, and Wallace Sanders.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at Lawrence Funeral Home.
