The Trojans and the Lions will tee it up Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. at Faulkner University’s Harrison Field.

The Trojans are currently 1-1 in the Capital City.

Earlier in the season, they beat Taylor Road at Earl Goodwin Park 21-20 but then lost to Evangel a week later at the same facility.

The winner of this matchup will be declared the regional champion and will play host to the runner-up out of the Grove Hill region, which will either be Jackson Academy or Escambia Academy.

The loser of the Meadowview-Evangel Christian game will travel to Grove Hill to face Clarke Prep.

The winner of the four regional playoffs will come together at Selma’s Bloch Park to compete for the AISA state crown in a double-elimination playoff system.

Last season, Shelby County Academy won Class A, Patrician won Class AA and then Glenwood took home the Class AAA crown.
